Welcome to Wickliffe City School District

New Student Registration for the 2026–2027 School Year

Eligibility: Students must reside within the Wickliffe City School District boundaries.

A new Ohio law sets kindergarten eligibility based on the first day of school, requiring students to be 5 years old on or before August 19, 2026 for the 2026–2027 school year.

HOW TO REGISTER

Begin by completing the Online Registration Form. Go to www.wickliffeschools.org and click on “Enrollment/Registration” at the top of the page. Scroll down to 2026-2027 K-12 New Student Registration.  You will be given a four-digit application number. Please make note of it to ensure re-entry into the registration system in case your device becomes disconnected. Registration must be completed on a desktop or laptop. Completing registration using a cell phone or tablet could result in an error.

  • If you are unable to scan a multi-page document, please take a picture of each page of the document with your phone and email them to our registrar along with the four digit application number, student name, and grade to kelly.pfundstein@wickliffecsd.org. She will upload them for you.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

All required documents must be submitted to finalize enrollment.

Please have the following documents ready:

  • ✔️ Original Birth Certificate
  • ✔️ Immunization Record
  • ✔️ Current Physical (kindergarten and preschool only)
  • ✔️ Two Proofs of Residency (see below)
  • ✔️ Custody Papers (if applicable, must be court-stamped)
  • ✔️ Parent/Guardian Driver’s License (proof of identity)
  • ✔️ Language Usage Survey (Part of the online registration)
  • ✔️ Records Request (Part of the online registration)

PROOF OF RESIDENCY

You must provide one document from each category:

Category 1:

Mortgage Statement, Deed, Purchase Agreement, Signed/dated lease/rental agreement (w/ beginning and ending dates & listing ALL occupants. Guardian and Child(ren) must be on the original lease), or Tax Statement (one of these documents).

Category 2:

Current electric or gas bill showing name, address and account number (We cannot accept a water bill, sewer bill, waste removal bill, cell phone bill, or cable bill as proof of residency. It must be a bill within the last 60 days).

Category 3 (if applicable):

Residency Affidavit Notary Form (if applicable)

o   If parents are living with another family within the Wickliffe School District boundaries, they must provide a residency affidavit. The form MUST be notarized. In addition, the following items must be submitted: copy of the homeowners mortgage statement, property tax bill, purchase/rental agreement, or the lease agreement, AND current gas or electric bill of the homeowner.

o   Parent/Guardian has 30 days to provide their own proof of residency for that address* (examples are bank statement, payroll/employee record, JFS statement)

NOTICE: READ CAREFULLY. Knowingly falsifying this document is a violation of the Ohio Revised Code: Section 2921.13(A) (6) which is a First Degree Misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of six (6) months and/or a fine up to $1000.00. Further the affiant will be billed (and prosecuted in court, if necessary) to collect all back tuition which may be due.

Once your Online Registration Application has been submitted and verified, you will be contacted and provided with an enrollment start date for your child. This process is typically completed in three business days, however, incomplete information or missing documents may delay the process.

HELPFUL TIPS for UPLOADING DOCUMENTS:

  • Scan each document individually and save to your computer.
  • Multi page documents must be combined into one file.
  • All files must be under 3MB, clear and large enough to read.

Annual Update 2026-2027

The Annual Update for 1st - 12th graders will be available to complete as of July 1, 2026.

Returning Preschool students can complete the Annual Update as March 6, 2026.

Who Can Register a Child?

Registering a child must be done by a custodial parent who lives within the boundaries of the Wickliffe City School District. A new student cannot be registered by a parent or other relative/individual who does not have legal custody of the child.

Residency Policy

The Wickliffe City School District does not have open enrollment. Therefore, all students granted enrollment must meet the residency requirements established by the District. Students who do not meet the residency requirements will not be permitted to enroll.
